BBC Election 2009

Katya Galabova was elected as a President of the BBC.

Since arriving in Dubai in 1991, Katya has established herself as an Independent Financial Advisor. Katya has more than 15 years progressive experience in the field of financial services in UAE and has served as a Senior Consultant of NEXUS Insurance Brokers Co. since 1993.

NEXUS subsequently hired former Management Professionals from Zurich International Life in order to offer clients a wide range of services. NEXUS is the largest Personal Line broker in the Middle East and was recently voted the best in the Middle East for the Personal Line category. In 2004 Katya obtained her International Certificate for Financial Advisers from the prestigious Chartered Insurance Institute, London. In 2005 Katya successfully completed a three month Certification Program, sponsored by Citigroup, for Entrepreneurship and Business Plan Development at Dubai University College – Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industries

Katya currently serves as an active Member of the International Business Women’s Group. Katya is also honoured to serve as a leader in The Bulgarian Expatriate Community in The UAE; devoting her energies to support of The Educational and Business Development opportunities for Bulgarian families and firms. Katya’s participation in The Bulgarian Expatriate Community includes serving as the current Executive Committee President of The Bulgarian Business Council.
